Vw Passenger Door Not Locking

1995 vw golf tdi the central locking stopped working on the driver s door a couple of weeks ago but worked ok from the passenger door.

The main issue has been not locking and once locked the only way to unlock is from inside by pulling the handle twice. Now it won t lock from the passenger side either. No where will you find this information on the web. The sound on the speaker on the door works fine but the window does not at all not even a bit nor does the door lock.
