Even with some patterned tile such as marble you can still accomplish this feeling if the pattern runs horizontally. Ready to use mastics and adhesives are great for a variety of tile types and sizes. Not recommended for tiles over 15 inches. Mastic adhesive is very sticky making it well suited for vertical applications where tile may slide.

Does not fill gaps in a substrate or have building characteristics as it is more watery than thinset. Thinset is slow to set which leads to tile sag on vertical applications. Recommended for tile up to 8 20 cm on any side.
